In Term 1 our Year 3-6 students took part in two rippa rugby sessions with Northland Rugby. The first session was run by ITM Cup player Cameron Goodhue. The kids learnt all sorts of new skills and games including passing waves and tag and chase. The second session was led by Grace and Ana. The students (and teachers) learnt how to play ‘Rats and Rabbits’ and ‘Rugby Softball’. The kids had a great time learning with Cam, Grace and Ana and they took great pleasure in showing off their new skills!
A huge thanks to the Northland Rugby Union (http://www.taniwha.co.nz) and especially Grace Cooper for providing our tamariki with such an awesome experience with some great role models! We look forward to supporting Cam in the upcoming ITM cup. GO THE TANIWHA!!!!!!
